Mrs. Pearl Lee Brooks, 71, of Little Rock, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. Born Jan. 25, 1943, to the late Jimmy Lee Tedford and Annie B. Tedford, she was a homemaker and a member of Jefferson Memorial in Keiser.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, L.Z. Brooks; one son, L.Z. Brooks Jr.; and two sisters, Linda Tedford and Lottie Brooks.

Mrs. Brooks leaves three daughters, Susan Baker and Mary (and Kenneth) Williams of Little Rock, and Shirley Brooks of Hot Springs;

Three sons, Donald (and Loretta) Brooks of Blytheville, Edward Brooks of Little Rock and Christopher Brooks of Phoenix, Ariz.;

Seven sisters, Elizabeth (and Kenny) Thomas, Vickie (and Ike) Bursey, Ella Tedford, and Dianne (and Anderson) Howard, all of Mt. Clemons, Mich., Catherine Collins of Sioux City, Iowa, Gladys Redd of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Christine Jones of Osceola;

Six brothers, Jimmy (and Tersa) Tedford Jr., of Mt. Clemons, Mich., Clifton (and Marlene) Tedfors and McKinley White of West Palm Beach, Fla., Clemmie (and Shirley) Tedford of Osceola, James Earl Mays of Little Rock, and David Tedford of Canton, Miss.; and

Twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola with the Rev. Joe Brooks Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
