Mrs. Linda Darnell Edlemon, 67, of Joiner, passed away early Tuesday morning at the home of her brother, Teddy May. She was born in Black Oak to her parents Clifford Clarence May and Lela Edna Odell May Feb. 25, 1946. She worked at American Greetings for approximately 14 years. She was of the Baptist faith.

She loved fishing! She also like to dance and shop at flea markets. She had a great sense of humor, and was a good cook. Peanut Butter cookies was her specialty. She loved her children, Christmas always meant a lot to her, but she loved her husband more than life itself.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 46 years, Paul Howard Edlemon.

She is survived by her two sons, Danny (and Brenda) Edlemon and Clifford Edlemon, both of Joiner;

Three grandchildren, Kim Edlemon, Tyler Edlemon and Matt Edlemon, all of Joiner;

Two brothers, Randall (and Berniece) May of Jonesboro, and Teddy (and Kathy) May of Joiner;

Three sisters, Wanda (and Don) Vun Cannon of Jonesboro, Patsy (and Joe) Winford of Dyess, and Kathy Boyd of Joiner; and

A host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at noon Friday at Carney Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with the Rev. Don Vun Cannon officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon prior to the service. Burial will be in Tyronza Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.carneyfuneralhome.com
