Paul 'Tommy' Hemphill

Mr. Paul "Tommy" Hemphill, 74, of Ocean Springs, Miss., passed away in the arms of his loved ones, Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, in Moss Point, Miss.

Mr. Hemphill was born in Auburn, Calif. He retired as a welder for Ingalls Shipbuilding and was a member of the Ocean Springs Elks Lodge No. 2501 for more than 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and listening to bluegrass music. He loved Johnny Cash and his two dogs, Maxx and Spikey, which he affectionately called "his boys."

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Hemphill and Helen Hodge Hemphill Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Marlena Hemphill;

A daughter, Paula Ann Hemphill;

Four sons, Danny Martin, Glenn Martin, Shane McKenzie and Ronnie Ceremello;

A brother, Billy Walters and his wife, Betty Jo;

Three sisters, Sherry White and husband, Tommy, Sheila English and husband, Tommy, and Alvenia Chetam; and

Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Mr. Hemphill's online guest book may be signed at www.cobbfuneralhome.com
