Robert D. Clinton

Mr. Robert T. Clinton, 83, of Steele, died Thursday at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born in Clover, S.C., to the late Charles and Susie Faulkner Clinton, he attended First Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam War veteran and a retired Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Army.

He was also a retired employee of the Department of Public School System in San Diego, Calif. He enjoyed tinkering in his workshop, was a muscle car enthusiast and was an avid reader.

Mr. Clinton leaves his wife, Sheryl Brown Clinton of the home;

One son, Christopher "Chris" Clinton of San Diego, Calif.;

One daughter, Sabine (Derreck) Bentley of Spring, Texas;

One sister, Gwen Burnhart of Berwin Heights, Md.; and

Four grandchildren, Leslie Clinton, Terra Nova Clinton and Savannah Bentley.

Memorial services will be announced by Cobb Funeral Home.
