Joyce Jean DePriest

Joyce Jean DePriest, 82, of Osceola, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at South Mississippi County Medical Center in Osceola.

Born in 1931 to the late James Doss and Ardelia Doss in Tupelo, Miss., she was a housekeeper and a member of Zion Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons and three brothers.

She leaves behind two daughters, Mary Hunt and Bernice Smith, both of Luxora;

Five sons, James DePriests of Luxora, Jimmy DePriest, Ricky Campbell, Lloyd Campbell and Curtis Campbell, all of Osceola;

Thirty-seven grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren; and

Four great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Chapel in Luxora. Funeral services will follow visitation with the Rev. Melvin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette.
