William Earl Green
Fruitland Park, Florida: William Earl Green, son of the late Earl Gordon Green and Flossie Ella Evans Green, was born in Monette on April 14, 1944, and passed away at Cornerstone Hospice, in The Villages, Fla., on Dec. 21, 2013, at the age of 69.
Earl received his elementary schooling and two years of high school, in the Bernie (Missouri) School system. He graduated from Leachville High School in 1962. He received a Bachelors Degree in Business Finance/Accounting from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. In 1989, Earl received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Nova University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He spent most of his working career in the banking industry retiring from Central Florida State Bank, Belleview, Fla., in 2011. Earl was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, in the Mediterranean region, and off the shores of Vietnam in 1966.
Earl and Pamela Loucke were united in marriage on April 15, 1994, in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Earl is survived by his wife, Pamela, and three daughters, Brandi (Samar) Khalaj of New Market, Maryland, Laurie Green of Coral Springs, Fla., and Debbie Pennypacker of Port St Lucie, Fla. He leaves seven grandchildren, Zachary and Alyssa; Matthew and Taylor; Meeghan, Heather, and Robyn, and five great-grandchildren, Rylan, Sophia, Renee, Anthony, Keith Jr. He is also survived by one brother , Richard and Joyce (Tuttle) Green of Fort Worth, Texas, two sisters, Glynda and Terry Bates of Bloomfield, Mo., and Charolette and Wayne Wagner of Manila, along with many beloved relatives and friends.
Earl enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was known for his generous nature and great sense of humor.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Gordon Green, who died in infancy; his paternal grandparents, William Henry and Stella Green of Monette, and his maternal grandparents, Howard and Pearl Evans of Leachville.
Cremation will be followed, at a later date, by a Celebration of Life family event in Fort Worth, Texas. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veteran Cemetery, Bloomfield, Mo.
Family requests that memorials be made to an area hospice or to a favorite charity.
