Willie Young

Willie Young, born July 26, 1934, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 21, 2013, at the VA hospital in Memphis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dimple Young, parents Otto and Lorain Young, daughter Pamela, grandson B.J., three sisters and one brother.

Survivors include sons, Willie Young Jr. of Marion, Ronnie (Janet) Young of Armorel, Bobby (Karen) Young of Pittsburg, Kan., and Richard (Laura) Young of Blytheville;

Daughter Sheila Bond (Tony) of Marianna;

Sister Florain Lawson of Jonesboro; and

Twelve grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Young was a Korean War Veteran who served his country with pride. He was also a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Hardy.

Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Thursday at the Murphy Funeral Home chapel in Lepanto. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel, with Mike Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Tyronza Cemetery.
