Harold Owen Browning, 68, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013. He was born Nov. 16, 1945, in Caraway to the late William L. and Elsie Mae Harper Browning. Mr. Browning retired after 35 years as owner of Browning Heat and Air in Caraway. He was a member of the Caraway Church of Christ, where he was also the song leader, Caraway Fire and Ambulance Rescue, former president of Jaycees and master of ceremonies for the Caraway Fourth of July Picnic for many years. He proudly served in the Arkansas National Guard. He will be remembered for his generous and loving heart.

He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Rebecca and Garry Brooks of Caraway and Christy and Dwight Booth of Lake City; two brothers and their wives, Ronnie and Eva Browning of Paragould and Marvin and Denise Browning of Caraway; two sisters and their husbands, Edna and Terry Stagner and Marsha and Freddie Campbell, all of Caraway; five grandchildren, Cody Booth, Ashley Booth, Bradley Booth, Faith Brooks and Austin Brooks.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Caraway Church of Christ with John Shadowens officiating. Burial will follow at Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Marty Browning, Jimmy Rogers, Scotty Browning, Garland Tipton, Johnny Boatman and Gene Boatman, and the Caraway Lions Club served as honorary pallbearers.
