Johnny Hensley Martindale

Mr. Johnny Hensley Martindale passed from this life Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

He was born April 15, 1943, in Ripley, Miss., to Charlotte and Arnold Martindale. He was raised in the Saulsbury, Tenn., area and graduated from Grand Junction High School.

He was a terminal manager for Consolidated Freightways trucking firm. He loved to take his customers fishing every chance he could.

He was a member of Cathedral Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Charlotte Ann.

He leaves his wife of 48 years, Nancy Crenshaw Martindale of the home;

Two sons, Gregory of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michael (and Connie) of Benton;

Five grandchildren, Blake, Zach (and Hannah), Max, Katie and Jenna;

Two brothers, Billy (and Debbie) of Chambersburg, Pa., and Larry (and Susan) of Shepherdstown, W.V.; and

His friend and brother-in-law, Johnny (and Marie) Rogers of Daytona Beach, Fla.

A memorial service will be held 11 am Saturday, November, 23, 2013 at Cathedral Baptist Church.
