William Van Riggs III

Mr. William Van Riggs III, of St. Louis, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, from injuries received in an automobile/pedestrian accident near St. Louis. Born in Memphis, he was the son of the late Juanita Turnbow Riggs and was raised in Leachville and later in West Memphis. He was a 1976 graduate of West Memphis High School and had attended Memphis State University.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Leachville, had served in the U.S. Army and was a licensed practical nurse. He had lived in St. Louis for the past two years.

Survivors include his son, Brandon Riggs of St. Louis; and

His father, William Van Riggs of Leachville.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at the Leachville Cemetery with Gerald Buie Ray officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.
