Mr. Clarence Delaney, 95, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, in Memphis. Born May 26, 1918, to the late Cleveland Delaney and Mariah Delaney, he was a farmer.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Delaney; one son, Clarence Delaney Jr.; five sisters; and two brothers.

Mr. Delaney leaves four daughters, Dorothy Delaney Winston of Tulsa, Okla., Carolyn (and Dr. Ben R.) Tapper of Moorestown, N.J., Alice Mary (and Darrel) Haynes of Tampa, Fla., and Pamela Denise (and LaDerrick) Riley of Las Vegas, Nev.;

One granddaughter he raised, Jacqueline Delaney of Tulsa, Okla.;

Seven sons, Cleve Delaney of Shaw, Miss., C.J. Delaney of Chicago, Raymond Delaney of Montgomery, Ala., Douglas (and Felicia) Delaney of Arlington, Texas, Glendale (and Diane) Delaney of Peoria, Ill., Andrew (and Kimberly) Delaney of Minneapolis, Minn., and Tyler Delaney of Tulsa, Okla.; and

Thirty-eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethelehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola with Dr. Moses Black officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. The family will receive visitors from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethelehem M.B. in Osceola.
