John L. House, 68, of Walnut Ridge formerly of Armorel and Tomato, died Thursday at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. Born March 28, 1945 in Blytheville to the late Marvin and Beulah House, he accepted Christ as his Savior as a young man at the Tomato Baptist Church.

He loved taking care of his parents and spending time with his special nephews. He also enjoyed fishing, traveling, photography and visiting friends. His past jobs included; exclusive sales for Brooks Brothers in Chicago and was employed at Cargill grain in Osceola.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Hugh Edward and infant brother Gerald Owen House.

Mr. House leaves his close and loving sister Lisa Booth(Tim) of Walnut Ridge. Three sisters, Mary Ann Spann (Tom) of Benton, Glenda Westrich of Kelso, Mo., and Norma Sue Zerbini (Richard) of San Jose, Calif.;

Five brothers, D. Michael House (Cheri) of Jackson, Md., Charles R. House (Barbara) of Batesville, Virgle House (Patti) of Des Plains, Ill., Terry House (Sandra) of Knoxville, Tenn., and James "Bud" House (Marie)of Rockford, Ill.;

He helped raise, and loved more than life, three special nephews, Edwin Wallace Jr. of Jonesboro, Jeffrey Wallace of Blytheville, and Austin Booth of Walnut Ridge.

He also had seven other nephews, 13 nieces, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Blytheville at a later date with Emerson Funeral home in charge. Lasting memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 322 SW Front Street, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas 72476.
