Eva Mae Hall Morris Rose

Mrs. Eva Mae Hall Morris Rose went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. She had been a resident of the Gosnell Nursing and Rehab Center for the past three years.

She was a member of the Luxora Baptist Church and serviced faithfully for many years.

She graduated from Ms. Brandy's Business School in Osceola, sold real estate, worked for American Greetings, the Green Thumb Society of America and then purchased her Antique Store in Luxora.

Eva Mae was born Dec. 12, 1921, in Tomato, to the late Dunk and Lottie Hall. She was preceeded in death by her parents; two brothers, Owen Hall and Melvin Hall; her beloved husband, Asa Morris; and one son Billy Wayne Morris. She was recently widowed by her late husband Donald R. Rose of Luxora.

She leaves behind her son Robert (Bobby) Morris and wife, Onie Morris, of Blytheville;

One sister, Shirley Snyder of West Helena;

Her grandchildren, Angie Hughes of Armorel, Mark T. Morris of Bentonville, Robert Morris Jr. of Melborne, Bryan Fleming of Fairfield Bay and Leigh Ann Johnson of VanCleve, Miss.; and

Five great-grandchildren.

She leaves a special friend and neighbor, Louise Barnes, and a host of friends from her service and employment to the community.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation of American or St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday at Roller Swift Funeral Home in Osceola. Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Luxora Cemetery. An online guestbook is available at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com
