Mary Aleine "Miss Allie" Connell

Mrs. Mary Aleine "Miss Allie" Connell, 87 of Bronson, Fla., and Des Plaines, Ill., passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013. She was born in Dell March 22, 1926, the daughter of Nettie and Homer Boren.

Aleine was a gifted seamstress. She made the most beautiful quilts for all to enjoy. She spent many labor of love hours quilting for all of her family. She loved spending time making crafts. She loved volunteering for charities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nettie and Homer Boren; her brother, Donald James Boren; and her two sisters, Dois Dobbins and Warrene Graham.

Alein is survived by her daughters, Annette Connell of Bronson, Fla., Jeannette Van Denorth, Kathy (and Eddie) Cullins; and her son Greg (and Robin) Connell, all of Montgomery, Ill.;

Her brother, Herbert (and Lois) Boren;

Three sisters Virginia Sneathen, Faye Cokenower, Lavonne (and David) Scmidt;

Her brother-in-law, Glen Dobbins; and

Seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park in Blytheville with Pastor Eddie Hawkins officiating. The family received friends Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Williams-Thomas Funeral Home in Florida and at Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville from noon-1:45 p.m. Friday prior to graveside services.
