Mr. Jim (James) Michael Cox, 64, of Leachville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at his residence. He was born Feb. 10, 1949, to M.L. and Flossie Cox. Self-employed, Jim was the owner of Double J Trucking and started truck driving in 1979. He was quite fond of antique tractors. Among his favorites were Olivers and Molines. Jim thoroughly enjoyed taking his tractors to tractor pulls and shows.

Preceding Jim in death were his father, M.L. Cox; and grandparents, Pleaze and Flossie Reeves and Shade and Mary Jane Cox.

His survivors include his mother, Flossie Cox;

A companion, Tammy Walker of Manila;

Two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Michelle Cox of Ada, Okla., and Jeremy and Christie Cox of Leachville.;

Three sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Dean Carlton, Betty and Ronnie Crossno, all of Paragould, and Shirley and Ray Gessner of Mtn. Home;

Two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Loretta Cox, of Paragould and David and Glenda Cox of Mt. Home;

Five grandchildren and one great grandchild;

Several nieces and nephews;

A very close friend that was like a brother, Wayne Stiebel, of Ruma, Ill.; and

Many, many dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Charles Stoddard and Gary Galloway officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Roemen, Anthony Anderson, Tim Huckabee, Wayne Stiebel, Doyle Skaggs and Anthony Allison. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeffery "Bull" Grimes.
