Wanda Louise Lindsey

Ms. Wanda Louise Lindsey, 83, of Blytheville passed from this life Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Heritage Square Nursing Facility in Blytheville.

She was born in Holland, Mo., to the late Hubert and Bertha Douglas Ham. She was retired from Emerson Electric Company in Kennett where she worked for 29 years.

She was also a homemaker and raised seven wonderful children who she loved dearly. She was a grandmother of 16 and a great-grandmother of 23. One of her greatest enjoyments was when they all got together for the holidays. Her hobbies were cooking and quilting. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Blytheville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Zelma L. Lindsey, to whom she was married for 52 years; her parents, Hubert and Bertha Ham; one son-in-law, Jadie Barnard; one grandson, Dennis Wooten; one grandson-in-law; Tony Davis; one sister; Alice Grice; and one brother, Leonard Ham.

She is survived by four daughters, June (and Jimmie) Morton and Judy Barnard of Steele, Mo., Nita (and Billy) Kendrick of Armorel, and Janice (and Denny) Wooten of Halfway, Mo.;

Three sons, Jackie (and Denise) Lindsey of Gosnell, Joey Lindsey of Blytheville, and Junior (and Connie) Lindsey;

Her grandchildren, Anessa Davis, Josh Morton, Joel Morton, Dodie Morton, Teresa Barnard, Shawn Lindsey, Jodie Lindsey, Christopher Lindsey, Tracy Forsythe, Chad Lindsey, Jason Lindsey, Jeremy Lindsey, Scott Kendrick, Daniel Kendrick and Jana Locke;

One brother, Calvin Ham of Longview, Texas; and

Twenty-three great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Mo.
