Lonnie Long, 74, of Mountain Home, Ark., passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, in Mountain Home. He was born July 19, 1939, in Rosie, Ark., to John and Lillian (Burt) Long.

Mr. Long married Joyce Davenport Oct. 20, 1965, in Lake City, Ark. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocahontas, Ark. He was a retired Journeyman Tool and Die maker for 45 years. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Long is survived by his wife, Joyce Long of Mountain Home; a daughter, Karen Karr of Mountain Home and her boyfriend, Matt Wilbur of Norfork, Ark.; a grandson, Derek Karr of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister, Linda Starnes of Calidona, Miss.; three brothers, Lloyd Long of Leachville, Ark., Boyce Long of Manila, Ark., and Otis Long of lake City, Ark.; two half-sisters, Virginia Collins of Piercetown, Ark., and Ruby Case of Harrison, Ark.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, AJ Long, Robert Long and Johnny Long; and a sister, Inez Lawrence.

The funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Huskey officiating. A visitation will be held Friday from noon until 9 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Kirby Tucker Cemetery. Arrangements are by Roller funeral Home.
