Shawn Lea Presson

Shawn Lea Presson, 51, of Manila, passed from this life, Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Aug. 28, 1962, in St. Louis, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Bud Westmorlan and was raised in Hornersville. She was a 1980 graduate of Senath-Hornersville High School and later attended Miller-Hawkins Business College in Memphis. Shawn had been a Manila resident since 1990, was a paraprofessional for Manila Public Schools and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include Her husband, Ty Presson of Manila; one daughter and son-in-law, Maegan and Kale McDaniel of Jonesboro; three sons, Kelly Presson of Midland, Mich., Jerrad Presson of Holcomb, Mo., and Kyle Presson of Malden, Mo.; her mother, Sue Westmorlan of Manila; one sister, Melanie Westmorlan of Paragould; and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at the First Baptist Church in Manila. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila.
