Rickey Glenn Rogers, 59, of Leachville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born July 20, 1954, at Leachville to the late Ray and Glendene Rogers. He was an area farmer for many years with his father and was also employed by Viskase in Osceola. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and spending time on the river.

He is survived by two daughters, MaKayla Rogers of Leachville and Tiffany Waymon and husband Derek of Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Bradyn and Allie Blocker of Jonesboro and Ella Waymon of New Madrid, Mo.; and a loving wife of many years, Janie Rogers.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Neal Rogers; his grandparents, Earl and Mable Rogers and Alvin and Elise Pruitt.

A celebration of his life was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Gregg Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Newman officiating. Burial followed at Leachville Cemetery. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Barry Cole, Jack Gathright, Bob Peel, Michael Sipes, Curtis Hawkins and Bob Kender. Honorary pallbearers were L.B. Cole, Ben Cole and John Eric Hawkins.
