Mr. Johnny R. Wisdom, 80, of Blytheville, passed from this life Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013.

Born in Gosnell to John Lee and Bertha Brackin Wisdom, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Blytheville and was the retired owner of Wisdom Construction Company.

Johnny was active in his church where he served as an usher and deacon. He enjoyed cooking and served in the church kitchen. He was always available to help those in need. Johnny was a loving father and grandfather and a friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Jewell Burress Wisdom;

Three grandsons, Daniel Wayne Friday, Pete Tornatore and Tyler Gray;

Three sisters, Juanita Baker, Geneva Bevill and Wanda Reagan; and

Two brothers, J.B. Wisdom and Jim Wisdom.

Johnny is survived by his children, Audrey Saliba and husband, Jack, of Springfield, Mo., Charles Wisdom and wife, Carol, of Blytheville, Debra Pruett of Amory, Miss., and Sherry Kay Tornatore of Bardstown, Ky.;

His grandchildren, Keith Dixon and wife, Amy, Niki Nichols and husband, Randy, Kevin Wisdom and wife, Charlsie, Jonathan Saliba and wife, Anna, and Jason Saliba; and

Five great-grandchildren and an unborn great-grandchild, Evelyn Saliba.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Baillio and Mr. Bill Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
