Mrs. Dessie Mae Jefferson, 71, of Osceola, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, in Memphis. Born Jan. 30, 1942, in Osceola, she was a retired factory worker and a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hunter and Ada Lou Hunter; her sisters Doris Edwards, Vernice Davis and Annie Jo Humble; and brothers Curtis Hunter, Charles Hunter, and John L. Hunter.

Mrs. Jefferson leaves her husband, John Jefferson of Osceola;

Two daughters, Tracey Ross of Arlington and Karen Jefferson of Osceola;

Four sons, Alphonso (and Pam) Frazier of Tacoma, Wash., Bill (and Olivia) Brown of Las Vegas, Nev., Mark Jefferson of Arlington, and Thomas Fraizer of Southbend;

One brother, Edwards Hunter of St. Louis; and

Twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Bobby Patterson, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
