Neighborhood theft is just sad

Tuesday, June 4, 2013

To the editor:

I do not know what our town has come to.

People used to be able to walk down the street and no one would bother them. My sister (who is mentally impaired) was walking down the street listening to music she downloaded on her tablet and this young man walked up beside her and snatched it out of her hand and took off running.

My sister came home crying her eyes out. The police were called and they tried their best to locate the individual with no success.

It is sad when people would rather steal something from somebody that has never done anything wrong to anybody in their life, than to go out and get their own.
