Frederick Pierson

Mr. Frederick Pierson, 74,of Evansville, Ind., formerly of Caseyville, Ky., died on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh, Ind. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran who served in the Korean War. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Brenda Woolverton Pierson; his parents, Bentley and William Beatrice Pierson; and two sisters, Pearl West and Ivetta Kanipe.

Survivors include two sons, Frederick Pierson and Troy Pierson of Evansville;

A brother, Bud Pierson of Mattoon, Ky.; and

Four randchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, Ky. Burial will be in Caseyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home.
