To the editor:

Wow! What an opportunity! I'm very excited about the Prayer Garden that is about to come to fruition in our town! Have you seen the layout online? If you haven't, then you need to make that a priority ... today!

Prayer changes things ... that's what Scripture teaches us, and I don't think there is a community in the USA that doesn't need some change!

We've been invited to join with all faiths and creeds to help get the "shovels in the ground" and get this project started and completed. It is a state-of-the-art garden that you would expect to find in some large metropolitan area. I am thrilled to know that anyone at any time can visit this garden and have a moment of reflection, meditation, prayer for themselves and others and even enjoy an open, outdoor chapel area. What a blessing!

I have confidence that we can all "pull together" and get this endeavor completed. All it takes is everyone doing the best they can -- individuals, churches, clubs, etc. It is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have a great treasure sitting in the midst of our community.

Please search out you heart ... here's a chance for you to join with me and others to make a potentially profound difference in the lives of people right here in our hometown. The garden itself will be such a beautiful asset, and imagine driving down Walnut and to your left seeing a gorgeous Prayer Garden ... open to everyone!

I've heard a lot of "unity" language in the past few months here in Blytheville, and it's so refreshing to see people coming together to do a lot of things that make our community a better place. So let's continue that goal ... let's unify and get this Prayer Garden started and completed.
