Mrs. Virginia Crawford Knop, 88 of Blytheville, passed from this life Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Gosnell Health Care.

Born in Blytheville to Hardy Richard and Mary Emma Akin Crawford, she was the "Executive Domestic Engineer" of her home and was always there when Kathleen came in from school. Virginia was a loving wife and mother who always kept a clean home, had lunch on the table at noon and supper prepared by 5 p.m. every day while her husband was alive. Together with her husband, they may not have had a lot but had everything they needed and nurtured their daughter and grandsons with their love. Virginia was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Blytheville, where she was very active with the Ladies Guild, church bazaars, fundraising and crafts, potluck dinners and vacation bible school.

Those who preceded her in death were her parents; her husband of 63 years, Harold Knop; two sisters, Mary Francis Lendennie and Emma Lou Greenway; and two brothers, H.R. Crawford and R.B. Crawford.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Knop;

Her grandchildren, Will Rogers and his wife, Jennifer, and Jonathan Rogers and fiancée, Paige Tilton; and

A great-grandchild, Lauren Rogers. Rest In Peace Sweet Mother.

A gathering of Virginia's friends and her final committal service will be Saturday, May 18, 2013 in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis G. Fitzpatrick officiating. The service will be at 10:47 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, 6th and Walnut, Blytheville, AR, 72315.
