Violet Jean Sullivan

Mrs. Violet Jean Sullivan, 80, of Marked Tree, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, in Jonesboro. Born July 20, 1932, in Waialua, she was a retired certified welder and a member of St. Norbert's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Phillips and Rose Phillips; her husband, Joe Bill Sullivan; one sister; two brothers; and one grandchild, Thomas Barton.

Mrs. Sullivan leaves two daughters, Shannon Moore of Vanndale and Whitney (and Bobby Roark) Hannah of Marked Tree;

Two sons, Marcus (and Terry Denise) Sullivan of Tyronza and Joshua (and Marsha) Sullivan of Marked Tree;

One sister, Irma Bowman of Mt. Eerie; and

Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-7 p.m. today at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Funeral services, officiated by Father Jack Vu, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Norbert's Catholic Church in Marked Tree. Burial will follow at Tyronza Cemetery.
