Amos Harold Evett

Mr. Amos Harold Evett, 74, of Corning, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Hospital in Paragould. Born Aug. 15, 1938, in Hayti, he was a retired fabricator, an Army veteran, and a part of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Amos Evett and Tennie Elizabeth Vaughn Evett; and his brother, Donnie Evett.

Mr. Evett leaves his fiance, Lois Kelly of Corning;

One daughter, Tina Marie Evett Stoner of Calico Rock;

One son, Anthony Amos (and Billie) Evett of Covert;

Two sisters, Charlotte Birchem and Cindy Haney of Coloma;

Five brothers, Glynn Evett and Kenneth Evett of Benton Harbor, Johnny Dale Evett of Alexander, and Gary Evett and Randy Evett of Coloma;

Two grandchildren, Jeffrey Carroll of Lawrence and Toni Dene Evett of Southaven; and

Six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Gary Andrews, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville.
