Doyle Wayne Carpenter

Mr. Doyle Wayne Carpenter, 74, of Dyess, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Jonesboro. Born Aug. 10, 1938, in Lepanto, he was a retired farmer and a member of Etowah Pentecostal Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allie Jewell and Emma Adams; his daughter, Reba Creecy; his sisters, Juanita Williams and Eloise Williams; his brother, Kendall Carpenter; his grandson, Jeremy Darby; and his great-grandchild, Shada Darby.

Mr. Carpenter leaves his wife, Wilma Carpenter of Dyess;

Two daughters, Teresa Watts of Dyess and Tina (and Brandon) Dollar of Lepanto;

Three sons, Wayne (and Susie) Carpenter of Etowah, Allie (and Dawn) Carpenter of Leachville, and Jason (and Jami) Carpenter of Lepanto;

Four sisters, Joyce Powell and Ella Mae Chappel of Ingles, Nita Henry of Osceola, and Alline Thompson of Newport; and

Twenty-six grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Huey Meherg and Bro. Freddie Adams, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Etowah Pentecostal Church of God. Burial will follow at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah.
