Barbara Ann Foreman, 48, of Steele, formerly of Blytheville, died Friday, March 22, 2013, at Great River Medical Center, after an extended illness. She was born March 10, 1965, to James Franklin Foreman and Betty Sue Birmingham Foreman in Blytheville.

Barbara was a retired convenience store cashier. She especially liked working at Mark's Convenience Store. She was a "people person" and was fun to be around. She liked people and they liked her.

She enjoyed playing board games, such as Monopoly; she loved going to yard sales; shopping was a favorite thing to do; and she really liked Lifetime Movies. She enjoyed cooking, and her son said that he really loved her homemade biscuits and chocolate gravy. She was known for her chicken and dressing for Christmas dinners.

Barbara was affiliated with the Rosa Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Sue Foreman; her step-mother, Dorothy Foreman; and two brothers, Michael Foreman and Gerald Foreman.

She is survived by one son, Joey Foreman (and Sydney) of Blytheville;

Eight sisters, Linda (and Buddy) Pennington of Fort Wayne, Ind., Janet (and Harold) Cartwright of Booneville, Miss., Sheila Hale of Gosnell, Annette Hitchcock of Steele, Lisa Woods of Paragould, Vivian Hannaford of Steele, Joyce Foreman of Blytheville, and Sarajo (and Randy) Holbrooks of Gosnell;

One granddaughter, Lilyrose Marie Foreman of Blytheville; and

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. today at Carney Funeral Home in Blytheville.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy J. Carney officiating.
