Mr. Robert L. Campbell Sr., 83, of Blytheville, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Blytheville to Henry and LouElla Guyton Campbell, he was a 1948 graduate of Richard B. Harrison High School.

Mr. Campbell was a master plumber and an astute businessman. He was a member of True Light Missionary Baptist Church, where he served on the Deacon Board, and as Chairman of the Trustee Board and Sunday School Superintendent for more than 50 years. He truly loved God and True Light Missionary Baptist Church. He served the Lord in the beauty of Holiness. He gave God the glory, honor and the praise. He was a member of the General Baptist District Association, serving and working with the Laymen Group as President, a past director of SouthSide Park (Williams Park), and one of the founders of African American Men of Distinction, a member of the Harrisonites, and a member of the Motorcycle Club and Masons. He was married to Sellarstine McClair for 64 years and loved his wife and children.

Mr. Campbell leaves his wife, Sellarstine Campbell of the home;

Three daughters, Shirley Pulliam and Johnnie F. Campbell of Blytheville and Chree Rena (and John) Crisco of Germantown, Tenn.;

One son, Robert (and Patricia) Campbell Jr. of Houston;

Seven grandchildren, Chreea Gross, Robert Campbell III, Dawn Hampton, Rufus Scott III, Larissa Campbell, Daphnie Goodloe, Trenisha Goodloe and Jonetta Jones; and

Four great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at True Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 Lilly in Blytheville. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church on West Street, the Rev. Johnnie E. Moore, Pastor. The Rev. Jay Slaughter will officiate. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens in Blytheville.
