June Ashlock

Monette- June Ashlock, 72 died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

She was born August 17, 1940 in Monette to Curtis and Ellen Green Harrell and had lived most of her life in Lawrence County. She had been a nurse at St. Bernard's Medical Center and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Black Rock.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Ashlock and sister, Shirley Harrell.

Survivors include sons, Max Ross of Walnut Ridge, Cole Ashlock (Susan) of Black Rock; brother, Bill Harrell (Ernestine) of Monette; sister, Diann Senick (Louis) of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren, Leslie Brashears of Batesville, Tory Ross of Newport, Monica Ross of Fayetteville, Mason and Carly Ashlock both of Black Rock; four great-grandchildren; special caregivers, Jessica Vernon, Karen Taylor, Felicia Foster and Tammy Eldridge.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Macy Cemetery in Monette with William Piercy officiating under the direction of House Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Visitation will be Monday, 6-8 p.m at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honorary Pallbearers: Burrel Cude, Jerry Gilliam, Britt and Rosie Hazelwood, Britt and Lyndell Meeks, Larry Stallings and Jerry Wallis.
