Mr. Homer Lee Johns, 75, of Steele, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, in Steele. Born Nov. 9, 1937, in Hackleburg, he worked in auto upholstery and was affiliated with the Pentecostal Church of God in Steele.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O.C. Johns and Pauline Godsey; his daughter, Shelley Yates; his son, Terry Lee Johns; and two sisters, Mary Sue Lyons and Willia Dean.

Mr. Jones leaves his wife, Mary Lindley Johns of Steele;

Three daughters, Wanda Buckley of Marion, Sharon Turgemman of Israel and Lavita Barnhart of Labelle, Fla.;

One son, Allen Stedham of Labelle;

Two sisters, Roberta Strate and Madeline Sprouse of Labelle; and

Twelve grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Gary Andrews, will be held at the funeral home on at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele.
