Mr. Rufus Hamilton Jr., 62, of Turrell, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

Born in Panola, Miss., he was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Hamilton Sr. and his step-father, Cleophus Perry Sr.; three sisters, Cledia Perry, Rosetta Hamilton and Deborah Perry; and; one brother, Willie Lawrence.

He leaves his mother, Rosetta Perry of Marked Tree;

His wife, Shirley McIntosh of Earle;

One son, Rufus Anthony of Atlanta;

Seven sisters, Linda (and Lavender) Jones and Billy Perry of Jonesboro, Minnie (and James) Crockett, Martha Perry and Juna Perry of Marked Tree, Crystal (and Christopher) Obi of Lawton, Okla., and Marilyn (and Brian) Faulkner of Grand Prarie, Texas;

Two brothers, Donald (and Marcia) Perry of Jonesboro and Cleophus Perry Jr. of Marked Tree;

Four grandchildren, Whitney McCuiston of Marked Tree, Montreal Anthony of Gary, Ind., and Brayden and Blakely Anthony of Atlanta; and

One great-grandchild.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Tryonza. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Anderson Chapel in Marked Tree with Elder James Crockett officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
