Emma Gene (Sanders) Gibson

Emma Gene (Sanders) Gibson, 64, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

She was a retired food service supervisor and a member of New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, L.C. Sanders.

She leaves behind her mother, Ella Lewis Sanders of Blytheville;

Three daughters, Karla Gibson-Fowler and Jammy Delane Parker of Blytheville and Rayette Gibson-Chapman of Bremen, Ga.;

One son, Julius Hart Gibson Jr. of Blytheville;

Six sisters, Doroty (and Willie) Simmons of Albany, Ga., Janette Day of Blytheville, JoAnn Daley (and Ray) of Jonesboro, Judia (and Leon) Bowie of Houston, Texas, Idella Sanders of Houston, and Bertha (and Jesse) King of Blytheville;

Four brothers, L.C. Sanders Jr., Eugene Sanders, John. L. (and Brenda) Sanders and James (and Joyce) Sanders, all of Blytheville; and

Eleven grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at New St. Paul M.B. Church with the Rev. Alvin Clay officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
