Luke Smith
Luke Smith, 76, of Gosnell passed from this life Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.
Born in Corinth, Miss., to Carroll and Lola Baggett Smith, he was a retired farmer and a member of New Providence Baptist Church in Buckeye, Ark. Luke was considered a "workaholic" but when he wasn't working, he enjoyed rabbit hunting, but his greatest enjoyment was the time he spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Monroe Smith and Joe Smith.

Grandchildren, Mandy Miller and husband, Shannon and Mindy Simpson and husband, Scott; great grandchildren, Lillian Ray Miller, Briley Miller, Seth Simpson and Camille Simpson; sisters, Nellie McLemore, Bernice Fricks and Bobby Sue Vernon, all of Gosnell and Irene Bass and Lucille Shields, both of Memphis, Tenn.; step grandchildren, Heather Smith and Brandi Brandenburg and husband, Rick and step great grandchildren, Dakota Smith and Karma Smith.
| Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny L. Smith and Rev. Shannon Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.
