Evelyn Gibson Lewis

Mrs. Evelyn Gibson Lewis, 63, of Keiser, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born Aug. 18, 1949, to the late Robert and Tiny Mae Gibson, she professed hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she was a mother and member.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Gibson; and four sisters, Leanna Farr, Berniece Taylor, Maybell Gibson and Dora Gibson.

Mrs. Lewis leaves four daughters, Valarie Boone and Adrian Lewis of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Debra Lewis and Danielle Lewis of Blytheville;

Three sons, Sam Lewis Jr. of Little Rock, and Derrick Lewis and Stephen Lewis of Blytheville;

Three sisters, Veola Broadnax and Lovell (and Willie) Coleman of Osceola and Emma (and James) Estell of Palmdale, Calif.;

Two brothers, Vedell Gibson of Tacoma, Wash., and Julius (and Pam) Gibson of Osceola;

Twenty grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul M.B. Church. Viewing will be at 11 a.m. at the church.
