Mr. Gary Lynn Holifield, 56, of Blytheville, passed away at his home Saturday morning, Sept. 22, 2012. He was born in Blytheville to his parents, Joseph "Jodie" Albert Holifield and Charline Boles Holifield. He was raised in the Pentecostal faith.

Mr. Holifield loved music including playing the guitar and singing. He liked to work on computers, cars, and well ... anything that could be taken apart and put back together! He was an amateur inventor. He "invented" some things that actually worked! He was a handyman and his favorite tool was duct tape. Everything had duct tape on it. He loved horses and horseback riding. He loved his three puppy dogs: Little Bit, Little Girl and Muffin. He had a great sense of humor and really enjoyed imitating characters from movies. He loved to have a good time!

He had worked at Gibson, Bells Texaco, and the Courier News (as a web press operator as well as paper routes) over the years. He was disabled due to back surgeries since the age of 30.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Joseph Albert "Joe Jr." Holifield; and a sister, June Holifield.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pat Holifield;

Two sons, Chris (and Jennifer) Holifield, and Daniel (and Maria) Holifield, all of Blytheville;

One brother, J. C. Holifield of Blytheville;

One sister, Joann Miles of Blytheville;

Eleven grandchildren and one on the way.
