Marie Audrey Mae Dobbins

Marie Audrey Mae Dobbins, 100, of Dyess, died of heart failure on Friday Aug. 24, 2012, at home. Born Jan. 29, 1912, in Powhatton, she was a homemaker and a Pentecostal.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jacob and Ida Lou Doyle; her husband, Velma Lloyd Dobbins; one son, Virgil Lee "Buddy" Dobbins; seven sisters, Bama Hartsel, Martha Lawson, Alice Thompson, Fannie Lou Tisha Fuller, Prudy Fuller, Geneva Hartsel and Marine Edrey Mae Doyle; and one brother, George Doyle.

Mrs. Dobbins leaves four daughters, Mary Lee Turner and Josie Aline Jones of Dyess, Virginia Mae Hatley of Lakeland, and Tresia Cook of Osceola;

Two stepsons, Ronnie Copeland and Charles Lee Copeland of Tupelo;

32 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and 32 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Jim Roller, were held Monday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial took place at Dyess Cemetery.
