Mr. Gary Leon Blair, 59 of Bedford, Ind., formerly of Blytheville, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 in Bedford. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Bedford. He had been a dedicated worker in Blytheville, as well as at Times Mail in Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Johnson and Ms. Edna Jean Blair; one brother, Demoid Blair and one daughter: Ms. Tanesha ReShun Blair.

He leaves his wife, Dorothy "Josie" Blair of Bedford;

One daughter, Garielle Blair of Luxora;

Two sons, Derrick Blair of Blytheville and Reggie Blair of Little Rock;

A step-daughter, Ms. Joyce Harvey of Blytheville;

Four step-sons, Steve Furlow of Bedford, Ind., Vernell (and Dawn) Furlow, Darnell (and April) Furlow and Melvin Furlow, all of Blytheville;

One sister, Mrs. Martha Hubbard of Chicago;

Seven brothers and six sisters-in-law, Willie and Claudia Blair of Omaha, Neb., Ernest and Bessie Blair, Roy and Mary Blair, Don and Jurlene Blair and Michael Blair, all of Blytheville, George and Morticia Blair of West Memphis, Charles Mitchell of Little Rock, and Mrs. Shirley Blair of Luxora;

Six brothers-in-law, Tommy (and Viola) Furlow, Sammy (and Helen) Furlow and Booker Furlow Jr., all of Bedford, Ind., Rev. Burton (and Althea) Furlow and Billy (and Maxine) Furlow, all of Blytheville, and Rev. Oliver (and Valerie) Furlow of Atlanta; and

Thirty-five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and also special friends of the family: Bill, Tamara and Clarence and family.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Saturday with services starting at noon at New Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church on Elm Street in Blytheville. The Rev. Burton Furlow will officiate. Burial will follow in Memory Garden with Grant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
