Mrs. Jannis Marie Presson, 74, of Bassett, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, in West Memphis. Born Dec. 23, 1937, in Holcomb, Mo., she was a retired substance abuse counselor and a member of Wardell Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernie McGee and Alma McGee; her daughter, Tammy Gail Wilder; and her brother, Harold McGee.

Mrs. Presson leaves her husband, Charles Presson of Bassett;

Her daughter, Kathy (and Neal) Terry of Leachville;

Two sons, Randy (and Sheila) Wilder of Conway and Rickey (and Carolyn) Wilder of Forrest City;

Two sisters, Alfrieda Cagle of Leachville and Brenda Herrin of Kennett, Mo.;

Her brother, James Wesley McGee of Catassiwa; and

Five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Joe Thompson, were held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. today. Burial will follow at Lloyd Cemetery in Holcomb.
