Peggy Jean Hillhouse

Mrs. Peggy Jean Hillhouse, 59, of Manila, Ark., died July 31, 2012, at her home. Born Aug. 11, 1952, in Arbyrd, Mo., she was the daughter of Robert Lee and Jerlean Bradfield Hogland and had been a long time area resident. Mrs. Hillhouse attended Senath-Hornersville school system and was a member of the Shields Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, camping, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Hillhouse was a very loving woman who put others before herself.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Freddie Hillhouse of the home; two sons, Eric Petty and Kenneth McElreath, Jr., both of Manila; two daughters, Angela Perkins and husband Larry of Manila and Trenia Ishie and husband Cecil of Lakeland, Fla.; eight sisters, Marie Barton of Bixby, Mo., Georgia Johnston of Walcott, Ark., Frances Ball of Leachville, Ark., Margaret Gullett of Jonesboro, Ark., Patsy McGrew of Senath, Mo., Sheila Jones of Monette, Ark., Glenda Hartey of New York and Leslie Bennett of Hornersville, Mo. She also leaves seven grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Hillhouse was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the First Baptist Church in Manila with Rev. Ferrell Duffel officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery with Faith Funeral Service of Manila in charge of arrangements.

The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Pallbearers were Cecil Ishie, Ronald Amick, Hunter Holt, Jerry McCain, Ricky Deeds and Thomas Jaco.
