Cherry Lee McCarter

Mrs. Cherry Lee McCarter, 68, of Marked Tree, died Thursday in Marked Tree. Born Feb. 28, 1944, to the late Charles Hardin and Elmer Ross, she was a homemaker of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her step-father, Cleveland Ross, and one brother, John Hardin.

Mrs. McCarter leaves her husband, Willie McCarter of Marked Tree;

One daughter, Kim and Larry Crockett of Marked Tree;

Four sons, Marvis Jefferson of Chicago, and Gregory Jefferson, Jareen Johnson and Sylus Hardin all of Lepanto;

One sister, Dorothy Weatherspoon of Pontiac, Mich.;

One brother, Charlie Hardin of Little Rock; and

Eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with Larry Crockett officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Mrs. McCarter is being cremated.
