Marilyn Kay Winchester

Mrs. Marilyn Kay Winchester, the daughter of the late James Clarence Stewart and Mary Louise Sanders Stewart, was born July 31, 1950, in Denton, Mo., and died Aug. 1, 2012, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., at the age of 62.

On Sept. 28, 1991, she was united in marriage with Mike Winchester in Blytheville.

Marilyn worked for many years at ACCO in Blytheville and later drove a school bus for South Pemiscot School District. She was also a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service and a member of Steele Church of Christ.

She leaves her husband, Mike Winchester of Steele;

Two daughters, Karen Hampton of Alma and Sherry Stegall of Jackson, Mo.;

Two brothers, Ferrell Joe Stewart of Cooter, and Jimmy Stewart of Denton;

Two sisters, Alice Watson of Blytheville and Becky Shuburte of Nixon, Mo.;

Dyanna Simpson and her daughter, Alysia who she raised for a number of years; and

Four grandchildren, Zachary Stegall, Madison Stegall, Racheal Clifton and Timothy Clifton.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Powell Funeral Home in Steele. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday with Mr. John Mundy officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
