Mrs. Carrie Mae Williams, 81, of Osceola, died of heart failiure Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Heritage Square Nursing Home in Blytheville. Born July 1, 1930, in Jackson, she was a homemaker and a Pentecostal.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Vanessa Beasley and Ethel Mason; her son, David Scott Jr.; and her brother, Allen Bob Houston.

Mrs. Williams leaves her husband, Obedith Williams of Burdette;

Seven daughters, Bessie Wilson of Houston, Mattie Collins and Sandra Dixon of Jonesboro, Victoria Hughes and Ruthie Dixon of Osceola, Rosie Cunningham of Sioux City, Iowa, and Mary Dixon of Luxora;

Five sons, Walter Holmes, Lawrence Crayton Jr., and Tony Golden of Osceola, Melvin Smith of Sioux City, and Donnie Scott of Houston;

Two sisters, Minnie Houston of Indiana and Gloria Houston of Tennessee;

Four brothers, David Houston of California, Clarence Houston of Philadelphia, Robert Houston of Memphis, and Leroy Houston of Texas; and

Fifty-two grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Moses Black, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
