Mrs. Vernice Jean Hunter Davis, 73, of Osceola, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

She was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ada Lou Hunter, one grandson Lejuan Robinson, four sisters and five brothers.

She leaves her husband, Maurice Davis of Osceola;

Four daughters, Diane Gibson of Blytheville, Jacqueline Riley of Osceola, Carlette Plummer of Dallas, Texas and Natasha Frazier of Washington state;

Five sons, Wayne Peterson of Osceola, Christopher Bausley of Kileen, Texas, Curtis Frazier of Southland, Ind., Joe Frazier of Southland, Ind., and Michael Frazier of Water Valley, Miss.;

Two sisters, Dessie Jefferson and Mordie Byrd, both of Osceola;

One brother, Edward Hunter of St. Louis; and

Twenty-two grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Tabernacle M.B. Church in Osceola with the Rev. M.L. Smith officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Burial will follow the funeral at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
