Gosnell citizens urged to pull together

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

To the editor:

Recently, my neighbor's house was broken into, and several items were taken. Our Police Department responded promptly, but had little to go on. Burglaries are happening, and we all need to stick together and help each other.

Lock your house and vehicles. Be alert. If you see someone or a strange vehicle in your neighborhood that seems suspicious, call our Police Department at 870-532-8545. They need your help. We need your help.

Let's make Gosnell one big Neighborhood Watch Program. Just a reminder, our city ordinance No. 123 states that the curfew for juveniles is 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Our Police Department will strictly enforce this ordinance. If your child is under the age of 18 and out past curfew walking the streets, they will be detained.

Let's all work together in protecting our home and property.

Oh yeah, young men in Gosnell, please pull your darn pants up. We dislike seeing your undergarments. It's disrespectful, nasty, unsanitary and downright ugly.

Mayor Don Marshall
