Elder Albert Veasley Sr.

Mr. Elder Albert Veasley Sr., 102, of Blytheville, died Thursday, March 15, 2012, in Williamsburg, Va. He was born March 3, 1910, in Starkville, Miss., to the late Brice and Irene Veasley.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Veasley; and two daughters, Mary Steinberg and Barbara Grey Albert.

Mr. Veasley leaves five daughters, Dorothy M. Boss of Dover, Del., Arlene Randolph and Anetha Parnell of Osceola, Bettye J. Wyatt of Williamsburg, Va., and LaFaye V. Bland of Chadds Ford, Pa.;

Three sons, Albert Veasley Jr., James Edward Veasley and Calvin Veasley, all of Osceola;

Thirty-eight grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren and a host of neicies and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Loving Jesus Ministries in Blytheville with Robert Parnell and Percy Bland officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Gardens in Osceola. The family will receive visitors from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at Loving Jesus Ministries.
