Arnold G. Sandbothe

Mr. Arnold G. Sandbothe, 84, of Manila, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at his home. Born at Freeburg, Mo., he was the son of the late Albert and Gertrude Loubert Sandbothe and was a graduate of the Holy Family Catholic School in Freeburg. He was the retired depot manager for the former Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and had been a Manila resident since the early 1950s. Mr. Sandbothe was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Blytheville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Bobbie Sale Sandbothe; and a brother, Harry Sandbothe.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Donna Welker Sandbothe of the home;

Two sons, A.J. Sandbothe of Belleville, Ill., and Gary Sandbothe of Manila;

One daughter, Anna Prest of Jacksonville, Fla.;

One brother, Hubert Sandbothe of Freeburg, Mo.;

Two granddaughters, Mary Margaret Sandbothe and Steffie Sandbothe; and

Two step-grandsons, Gregory Glenn Grimaldo and Charles Ray Grimaldo.

Funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel at Manila with Father Tom Marks officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.
