Mary 'Jean' Baxter Partridge

Mrs. Mary "Jean" Baxter Partridge, 87, of Spanish Fort, Ala., formerly of Biloxi, Miss., died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012. She was born Jan. 14, 1925, in Blytheville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Eugenia Baxter; a daughter, Suzanne Partridge; a son, Stephen Partridge; a grandson, Stephen Partridge; two sisters; three brothers; and three nephews.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Lewis J. "Doc" Partridge;

A daughter, Sarah Partridge;

Two grandchildren, Bradley (and Laura) Partridge and Jamie Partridge (and Chad) Mace;

Three great-grandchildren;

A daughter-in-law, Nancy Partridge;

A sister-in-law, Edna Baxter; and

Much-loved Northern and Southern nieces and nephews.

The family thanks Bay Ridge at Westminster Village and Odyssey Hospice for the exceptional care they provided.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or your participation in a Memory Walk in your area are appreciated and much needed to assist in finding the cure. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Westminster Village.
