Mrs. Elnora Smith, 89, of Blytheville, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.
She was born in Pace, Miss,. to the late Elmer Gatewood and Tressy Woods.
She moved to Blytheville as a small child. She became a member of New Galilee Baptist Church more than 70 years ago. She and her late husband, Robert "Jack" Smith, were the owners and operators of the Big Apple Cafe.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mildred Lawshea; and two sons, Robert Jr. and David.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Lillie Rose Sanders and Ms. Treather Smith of Blytheville;
One son, Michael Smith of Blytheville;
Thirteen grandchildren; and
Many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Church at 501 E. McHaney in Blytheville with the Rev. Timothy Rogers, pastor, and the Rev. Leroy Nash officiating. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at Sandy Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2 p.m. until the time of service Saturday.
